Mission Nannys News and Prayer Requests From the Field
“And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please Him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to His glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.” Colossians 1:10-12
MISSION NANNYS PRAYER LETTER –June 2019

JOHANNA, PAPUA NEW GUINEA – Wow, this has been an amazing year here in Papua New Guinea. Now my time is short. I have one week left, and by the time you read this, I will be back in the United States. I am looking forward to seeing friends and family again, but it is going to be so hard to leave these people. I have made such deep connections with a few of the ladies in the church here. My emotions range from wanting to cry as I think about leaving, to being so happy as I think about the time we have shared. The one consolation is that these ladies are part of God’s family and I will see them again in heaven. I will also dearly miss the family I have been working with. I love them and their kids so much, and they love me! I get a little more time with the kids as I will be traveling back to the US with Robyn, the mom, and the kids, even stopping over in Hong Kong and going to Disney! The dad will stay one more month then come. I also will miss my dear fellow teacher who I have loved getting to know. She has become a better friend than I ever thought. Thank you so much for your prayers this past year. I have learned and grown so much and will never forget this year. God has allowed me to be a blessing to the church and work here, and I have been blessed as a result.
This next year I am very excited to continue my journey in overseas missions. God has used this year to prepare me for the next adventure he has for me. I will get to come back to this part of the world and teach music at Faith International Academy in Davao, Philippines. It will be a big change from this year, but I am excited about it. When I go back to the US I will spend my summer visiting friends and support raising before I head to the Philippines at the end of July. Please pray for me as I transition. It will be so hard to leave this place and then be rather transient over the summer before starting a new cultural adventure! Also, I’ll be living in the city next year which will be vastly different from this year living in the bush! Thank you again for your prayers.
KARISHMA, FIJI – The main prayer for this month is that I will have enough finances to buy my tickets for Fiji.
MAGGIE, ISRAEL – I am getting so excited as my time in Israel grows closer! Praise the Lord for how he has provided thus far! With just a couple weeks until I leave, please pray for my continued support raising and travel safety.
GUADALUPE, SOUTH KOREA – I thank the Lord for this amazing opportunity of taking me to South Korea. As his Word state, “Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart”(Psalm 37:4). Please pray for safety, finances, and that I can serve the Nichols’ family with humbleness.
ASHLEY, ITALY – It is springtime here, and we see new life all around us. We love God’s creation and we are surrounded by it. As I’ve taught Manuel science the last couple of years, I rest amazed at God’s glory and wisdom manifested in nature. Nature is incredible. If we open our eyes and contemplate, we can be amazed and this strengthens our faith.
God is bringing an increasing number of younger (age 40-45 is younger for us!!) men in ministry into our lives (with their wives). This is not a direction we have sought, but it is clear that God is opening doors. Pray for wisdom. We want to be spent for Christ.
As we reflect on the fact that we’ve been in Italy for 33 years, we are overwhelmed by God’s faithfulness, mercy, and grace to us. We thank Him that through you, we are covered in prayer, our financial needs are met, and we are encouraged.

BETTY SULLINS, FOUNDER OF MISSION NANNYS
Praise God for Holly and the decade of work she completed and instigated at Lake Tanganyika after 11 years of service. Pray for her today as she works now for the mission board here in the states. Many came to know the Lord and she saw many needs and constantly used her time to bring new ideas such as schooling and medical attention for others. Pray daily for her working with OM.
It is a joy to have Valerie to continue the work of Mission Nannys. Many missionaries are in need of child care, schooling and good care of their children while they work on bringing many to know the Lord. Please pray for people to see the needs and become a Mission Nanny to serve them at least 3 months and perhaps a year. Contact Valerie for more information at email@example.com.
