Please read this important information, then go to the Application Form

We know you want to devote more time to the ministry to which you are called. We will send you contact information with individuals who have indicated an interest in volunteering with homeschooling, child care, and/or domestic chores.

We strongly believe that matters such as these should be guided by the Lord God.

Here is what you should know if you are interested in requesting a Mission Nanny to assist you with your children’s needs.

What You Do

You must be an evangelical Christian missionary, approved by a recognized mission agency or board. (Sometimes we can support a need for a nanny when you are on furlough).

You have children needing assistance with school work, disabilities, or child care that you are unable to adequately provide.

You should provide a private room and meals for the volunteer nanny, at no cost to the nanny. The nanny is required to raise funds for her airfare, visa, and personal expenses. She receives no compensation from MissionNannys.

You should agree to a 3-month minimum stay for your nanny. The maximum stay can be arranged with her.

You should provide for personal time off for the nanny each week. We highly recommend that you require no more than 35 to 40 hours of her time each week.

In general, your need must be ‘short term:’ That is, we don’t ask our volunteer nannies to serve permanently, but rather for a period of months.

We trust you to pray with us that the Lord will bring the right person to assist you.

What We Do

There will be a ‘request for a nanny’ form to send to us, a limited liability agreement, and an acknowledgment of what we expect of you.

We will publish a brief description of your ministry and your need for assistance with tutoring, child care, and/or domestic assistance on our website and on MissionFinder.org, another site we manage. (see “Openings”).

We will work to recruit volunteer nannies.

We will receive applications and forward their information to you, giving you the opportunity to communicate directly with the applicant. We do not check references and DO NOT do background or law enforcement investigations on nanny applicants.

The decision to accept an applicant is up to you, the family who is considering the applicant. Mission Nannys assumes no liability for any nanny’s service or performance.

Mission Nannys will provide the applicants application and references, and information on how the family can make direct contact with the applicant. Mission Nannys assumes no liability for any nanny’s service or performance.

Limit of Liability

In no event shall Mission Nannys, its affiliates, or their officers, directors, principals, agents and employees be liable for any claims, liabilities, losses, costs or damages, including indirect, punitive, incidental, special or consequential damages, arising out of or in any way connected with (1) the use of or inability to use the site or with any delay in using the site, or (2) any information and materials obtained through the site, or (3) otherwise arising out of the use of the site, in any case whether based on theories arising in contract tort, strict liability or otherwise, such limitations apply even if MissionNannys, its affiliates or any of their officers, directors, principals, agents or employees have been advised of the possibilities of damages.

Request the Services of a Mission Nanny

The process starts with your response to the following statements. If you cannot agree to all four statements, please do NOT apply.

• I am serving under a qualified mission board or mission organization.
• I will give free room and board to the volunteer Mission Nanny.
• I will commit to a three month tour of duty minimum, for the Mission Nanny.
• I accept the terms of the Disclaimers and Limits of Liability
